LIHU‘E — The Lihu‘e Walmart store is joining more than 4,600 pharmacies across the nation in inviting communities to get healthy during the Walmart Wellness Day Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
As the new school year approaches, Walmart, including all 10 stores in Hawai‘i, and The Parkinson Association, will feature free health screenings, affordable immunizations and wellness resources.
Customers can receive free glucose, cholesterol, BMI and blood-pressure screenings as well as no-cost-to-patient COVID-19 vaccines and affordable immunizations against shingles, chicken pox, pneumonia, tetanus, hepatitis, HPV and flu.
During the event, families are able to access all of the services as well as have the opportunity to talk with pharmacists.
The goal of Walmart Wellness Day is to encourage customers to get healthy and stay on a healthy track by helping them know their numbers and seek care to improve their lifestyles.
Knowing an individual’s numbers is just a start. Armed with that information, individuals and families can make decisions and track health improvement.
