LIHU‘E — The Kaua‘i Senior Softball league’s Rookies, currently undefeated at 19-0 as of June 12, had their encounter with Solid Steel rescheduled on Saturday because of COVID-19.
Barteks, currently in second with a 20-2 record, closed the gap in the standings by taking a 16-4 win over the Bushwackas at the Kaumuakani field where only two games were posted after the Keonimana Gents’ contest was relocated to the Isenberg field.
The Keonimana Gents, currently third in the standings with a 17-4 record, improved on their record with a 16-4 win over the East Kaua‘i Legends at Isenberg.
No results were available for the super senior league play, Friday.
Kaua‘i Senior Softball games continue Saturday with games at the Isenberg field, and at the Baniaga field in Hanapepe.
First pitches go off at 9 a.m. at both fields.
At the Isenberg Park, the Hanamaulu Hillsiders (6-16) will attempt to stay ahead of DaKruzers who are 5-16 as of June 12.
