Everyone is reminded that free eye exams and work, dental examinations and work, and physical examinations (they’re acceptable for high-school sports clearances!) start Monday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Tropic Care clinics at Kapa‘a Middle School, Kaua‘i Community College and ‘Ele‘ele School. And mahalo, county Transportation Agency Executive Celia Mahikoa and Mayor Derek Kawakami for the free bus service to provide access to these innovative readiness training services.
Hawai‘i Lodging & Tourism Association President and CEO Mufi Hannemann (nope, the Harvard book went out with the mail because of the pandemic) came in person Wednesday to join the HLTA Kaua‘i Chapter’s Paul Toner and Samira Siale and other Kaua‘i chapter board members and supporters in announcing the HLTA “early endorsement” of Mayor Kawakami at a Meet and Greet Mayor Kawakami at the Royal Sonesta Kaua‘i Resort Lihu‘e Wednesday.
OK, we got the next HLTA Kaua‘i Chapter pau hana event coming up Wednesday at the Hilton Garden Inn Kaua‘i Wailua Bay (isn’t that where some of the Tropic Care troops are staying?).
