Following are this week’s synopses of shows on KBFD TV, which televises Korean dramas with English subtitles:
Weekly Update
“Dearest Lady”
Episodes 21 and 22 (Sun.)
Today, 6:40 p.m.: Young-kwang is upset seeing Kang-ho in a shirt that he designed. Kang-ho asks Se-ran about her relationship with Yoon-taek. Mal-sook overhears Gyu-chan’s voice while talking to Bo-bae. Mal-sook invites Bo-bae acting like a rich person while Heung-gia is out but is caught when Heung-gia comes home unexpectedly.
Today, 7:45 p.m.: Young-kwang questions Kang-ho about his relationship with Ah-reum. Kang-ho tells him not to butt in. Bo-bae is surrounded by her fans but is still upset over Gyu-chan’s jealous demeanor. Ah-reum ponders over her father and Heung-gia’s relationship. Ah-reum decides to move into Gyu-chan after Bo-bae’s wedding.
“Girls’ Generation 1979”
Episode 5 (Mon.); Episode 6 (Tues.)
Monday, 6:45 p.m.: Jeonghui can’t help but be moved by Son Jin’s kindness. Dongmun tries every which way to change Jeonghui’s feelings. When rumors of Hyeju’s father circulates at school, Mansang starts keeping taps on Hyeju. On top of that a rumor starts about Hyeju and Yeongchun.
Tuesday, 6:50 p.m.: Animosity against Hyeju grows between her friends and teacher. Jeonghui looks on helpless in pain. She opens her hearts to Hyeju again when Hyeju’s father collapses.
“You Are Too Much”
Episode 19 (Wed.) Episode 20 (Thur.)
Wednesday, 7:45 p.m.: Jina feigns ignorance about Gyongsu. Sunghwan tells Jina they should leave everything behind and leave. Jina tells Sunghwan she will never marry a nobody. Disappointed Sunghwan tells Jina they should break up.
Thursday, 7:45 p.m.: Hyunjoon seeks out Haedang’s boyfriend Gyongsu. Jina makes a major mistake on live broadcast. She wallows in her mistake at a bar and there she meets Haedang.
“Kim Suro, the Iron King”
Episode 13 (Fri.); Episode 14 (Sat.)
Friday, 7:50 p.m.: Ahyo and Suro finally rendezvous. Suro regains strength with Hwang-og’s nursing. Talhae discovers Suro has survived. He threatens Ahyo to find out Suro’s whereabouts. Jongyunbee and Yishiashi find metal stones and plans to extract metal. Suro remains at Neukdo Harbor to emancipate the slaves. He learns shipbuilding and tries to build ship with them.
Saturday, 7:50 p.m.: Jungyunbee and Yishiashi take Ilsoe to produce metal. Shingui Ghan blames Yeomsachi and warns him that punishment will be meted. Talhae buys up all iron nails to prevent iron production.
