KAPA‘A — The state Department of Transportation announced a single-lane closure of Kuhio Highway is possible in either direction between mile markers 9.8 and 10.8 in the vicinity of Kapoli Street and Mailihuna Road today through Friday, June 3, from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., for pavement reconstruction and resurfacing.
The county Department of Public Works and Grace Pacific LLC announced that portions of Mailihuna, Hau‘a‘ala and Kawaihau roads will be closed from Tuesday, May 31, through Thursday, June 2, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for clearing and grubbing work, roadway excavation and sidewalk construction.

Wailua
• A right-shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kuhio Highway are possible in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and the Kapa‘a bypass road, Monday, May 30 through Friday, June 3, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for Kuhio Highway Short-Term Improvements;
• A right-lane closure on Kuamo‘o Road is possible in either direction between mile markers 0.0 and 6, Kuhio Highway and Uhauiole Stream, Tuesday, May 31 through Thursday, June 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for tree cutting;
Lihu‘e
• A right-lane closure of Kuhio Highway is possible in the eastbound direction between mile markers 0.9 and 1.3, Maona Road and Kapaia Road, Tuesday, May 31 through Thursday, June 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for tree clearing;
Puhi
• A right-lane closure of Kaumualii Highway is possible in either direction between mile markers 2.9 and 8.8, vicinity of Kipu Road and ‘Oma‘o Road, from Tuesday, May 31 through Friday, June 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for landscaping of shoulders and around guardrails;
Kalaheo
• Portions of Papalina Road in Kalaheo, from Waha Road to Kaumuali‘i Highway, will be closed June 6 to June 20, on weekdays, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather permitting, for road-resurfacing work.
• A portion of Waha Road in Kalaheo, from Papalina Road to Niho Road, will be closed Thursday and Friday, June 2 and June 3, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather permitting, for road resurfacing work.
