Organizers of the inaugural Kupuna Spelling Bee presented by Alaska Airlines to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association Hawaii are seeking volunteers to serve as spelling bee pronouncers for upcoming preliminary events to be held in late June and early July. Pronouncers at the spelling bee events will announce the spelling words and provide all the information a speller can receive about each word: its origin, its grammatical part of speech, and an example of its use in a sentence.
