Congratulations, Rose Garabilla, and her Rose’s crew on the opening of Rose’s Beauty &Gifts on Mother’s Day!
Rose said there were so many people waiting she had to open earlier than she originally scheduled for. And, she still has Rose’s Pinoy Favorites. That store (wow! check out the transformation!) moved to the spot next to where ParTea used to be.
Jean Souza (she loves the new ParTea) had enough volunteers for Mother’s Day and the gyotaku printing (thank heaven for Yumi Yasutake molds, no one had to deal with dead fish), and Small Fry was busy with young people making those paper lei.
Abigail Boroughs has been going crazy getting ready for the opening of the Kaua‘i Society of Artists’ Fourth Washed Up marine debris exhibit Friday with an artists’ reception from 5 to 8 p.m. at the KSA gallery at KGC. The exhibit is co-sponsored by the Surfrider Foundation.
