LIHU‘E — The county Department of Parks & Recreation announced that permits for camping at Lydgate Park and Salt Pond Beach Park are available at kauai.gov/parks.
Fees at Salt Pond are $3 per person per night, and Hawai‘i residents and children under 18 are exempt from the fees.
The cost for permits at Lydgate for Hawai‘i residents is $5 a day. The price for permits at Lydgate for non-residents is $25 a day. System upgrades to the camping permit registration system occurred recently. Users who had profiles on the online camping permit portal before last week should review their profiles to ensure current information is accurate.
Camping at ‘Anini and Anahola beach parks continues to be available for patrons.
