Mahalo, Kaua‘i, for squeezing in all those events during the daytime so we could see Robert Medeiros talk about the pohaku at Kukuiolono Golf Course (is Santa Phil Worwa doing more disc golf events to help with park improvements?) on television. Time to go walk three times around the Kaua‘i Iki pohaku.
Kudos, Tommy Noyes, Steve Soltysik (he’s going to help Jean Souza with the reopening of the Kaua‘i Ocean Discovery at Kukui Grove Center in Lihu‘e this weekend, too!), and even student substitute Reiko Matsuyama for bringing out the mo‘opuna to get a taste of volunteerism and be a contributing participant of this year’s Volunteer Week and Earth Day commemorative events.
Congratulations, Lorraine Parongao (it used to be Lagoc!) on the debut of ImaginEtch during the spring pop swap Saturday at KGC, where Julijana Pinnock took advantage of a Macy’s (they had Kaimana McDermott Sa and Denese Alcott helping at Earth Day at Lydgate Park, too!) break to check on Ethan Pinnock’s progress at the chess tournament (great job, Damien Nash!) at the Kaua‘i Society of Artists gallery between exhibits (entry day for the “Washed Up” Marine Debris Show is May 7!).
Now, gotta wait for Lorraine to finish her website so people can take advantage of her laser etching skill in time for Mother’s Day, graduation, and more. Those Ni‘ihau shell renderings are killer!
