LIHU‘E — The Hanama‘ulu Hillsiders came up four runs short against the Bushwackas at Isenberg Park Saturday during the latest round of Kaua‘i Senior Softball league play.
The Hillsiders, finishing with a 18-22 deficit, next face the Rookies, who lead the league with no losses following its 16-4 win over the Aloha Kia A’s.
Over at ‘Ele‘ele Park, Kawaihau was a big winner after edging past the East Kaua‘i Legends, 11-8.
Play continues Saturday, with contests scheduled for both Isenberg Park and ‘Ele‘ele Park, starting at 9 a.m. at both fields.
And, following two weeks of a rain make-up break, the Super Seniors are scheduled to play two games Friday at Isenberg Park. First pitch goes off at 9 a.m.
