HANALEI — Until further notice, there will be a lane shift/narrowing on Kuhio Highway near mile marker 1.6 from the Hanalei Bridge to Hanalei’s town core for emergency work due to Hanalei River erosion, the state Department of Transportation reported.
HANALEI — Until further notice, there will be a lane shift/narrowing on Kuhio Highway near mile marker 1.6 from the Hanalei Bridge to Hanalei’s town core for emergency work due to Hanalei River erosion, the state Department of Transportation reported.
All county and state roadwork is weather permitting.
Kapa‘a
• A right-lane closure of Kuhio Highway is possible in either direction between mile markers 6.6 and 8.4, Kapa‘a bypass road and Kukui Street, from Monday through Friday, April 18 to 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for cutting grass.
• Portions of Mailihuna and Kawaihau roads will be closed from Monday through Friday, April 18 to 22, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., according to the county Department of Public Works and contractor Grace Pacific LLC. A portion of Kawaihau Road, between Haua‘ala Road and Moa Road, will also experience a full road closure on the night of Thursday, April 21, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Additionally, the makai driveway to Kapa‘a High School’s athletic field may experience temporary closures. • A right-shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kuhio Highway in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and the Kapa‘a bypass road, from Monday through Friday, April 18 to 22, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for road and shoulder work.
