HOKUALA — Hokuala Kaua‘i has announced its first annual scholarship program available for graduating seniors on Kaua‘i.
The inaugural Hokuala Kaua‘i Scholarship Program encourages Kaua‘i’s students in pursuit of a higher education to apply.
The scholarships will award five students $1,000 to help with their pursuit in a higher undergraduate college education. To give special thanks to the Hokuala ‘ohana, one scholarship will go to a dependent family member of a Hokuala employee.
“We are dedicated to returning goodwill to the Kaua‘i community and especially for the next generation who will lead us into the future,” said Carrie Bligh, operations director of the resort.
The requirements include: being a graduate high school student residing on Kaua‘i; planning to attend a college or university or other institute of higher learning on a full-time basis, demonstrated leadership at school or in the community, and who requires financial assistance to attend college.
Deadline to apply is May 31.
