Kudos, the Rev. Andrew McMullen and the St. Michael & All Angels’ Episcopal Church ‘ohana on a very nice Treasures and Treats event that signalled the coming out of pandemic.

Paula Schultz and Madeliene Nuccio-Haraga had the enviable duty of watching the Treats table, and Hannah Pearson said the pina colada shave ice flavor had no color so made it appear you were just slurping plain ice.
Kudos, Laurie Ho (she was installed as the president, again) and all those ladies of the Family and Community Education (Kaua‘i), on the group’s “coming out” party (er, meeting?), where Marina Pascua said FCE is helping Kaua‘i Museum with the May Day Lei Contest that will happen this year at the Royal Sonesta Kaua‘i Resort Lihu‘e (yikes, that’s less than a month away!), and mahalo FCE immediate past president Margo Hashimoto for her mother’s inspired andagi recipe.
Grove Farm’s Sharyl Lam Yuen said bon dance is coming in July, too, with the Okinawan community participating…watch for more details soon!
Meanwhile, the Easter bunny had a line outside the Bunny House at the egg hunt at Kukui Grove Center in Lihu‘e (even got to see Todd Ozaki waiting as he prepares to take a group of bowlers to an O‘ahu tournament), where Jean Souza was thrilled to be able to dispense those temporary tattoos outside aua‘i Ocean Discovery.
The egg hunt (nope, you had to pre-register for those 200 specially packed egg treasures) was so busy the Royden Pablo ‘ohana forgot to turn on the “Open” sign outside Pau Hana T’s, and Rose Garabilla of Rose’s Pinoy Favorites was giving people a preview of her new store that’s opening in time for Mother’s Day (yikes, that means graduation is coming, too).
