HANAPEPE — The state Department of Transportation will institute a single lane closure of Kaumuali‘i Highway in the westbound direction near mile marker 16.6, Iona Road and Puolo Road, Wednesday through Friday, April 13 to 15, from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m., for Hanapepe bridge work.
All county and state roadwork schedules are subject to change and are weather permitting.

• The county Department of Public Works and contractor Maui Kupono Builders announce that portions of Lolo, Niho, Nanakai and Waha roads will be closed through April 14 on weekdays, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for road resurfacing work. • The DPW and Goodfellow Bros. LLC announced that sections of ‘Akuli Street and Hanama‘ulu Road will be under short lane closures from Monday, April 11 to Friday, April 22, weekdays, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There will be no work on April 15 in observance of Good Friday. The project, which improves pedestrian access to King Kaumuali‘i Elementary School, is scheduled to be complete in June. • A right shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kuhio Highway in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and the Kapa‘a bypass road, takes place Monday through Thursday, April 11 to 14, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for road and shoulder work;
Kapa‘a
• A right lane closure of Kuhio Highway in the southbound direction between mile markers 6.6 and 7.2, Kapa‘a bypass road and Aleka Loop, takes place Monday and Tuesday, April 11 and 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for grass cutting;
• A right lane closure of Kuhio Highway in the southbound direction between mile markers 6.6 and 7.3, Kapa‘a bypass road and Kamoa Road, takes place from today through Friday, April 15, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., for utility work;
• A right lane closure of Kuhio Highway is possible in either direction, between mile markers 6.6 and 8.4, Kapa‘a bypass road and Kukui Street, Tuesday through Thursday, April 12 to 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for cutting grass;
• The DPW and Grace Pacific LLC announced that portions of Mailihuna Road and Kawaihau Road will be closed from Monday through Thursday, April 11 to 14, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 pm. Hau‘a‘ala Road will also experience a full road closure on Tuesday, April 12, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and a full closure the night of Wednesday, April 13, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. The makai driveway to Kapa‘a High School’s athletic field may experience temporary closures, as well. • A right lane closure on Kuhio Highway in the northbound direction between mile markers 1.2 and 2.5, Ohiki Road and Aku Road, will take place Monday through Thursday, April 11 to 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for drainage clearing work;
Wainiha
• A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway is possible in both directions between mile markers 6.7 and 7.3, Wainiha Powerhouse Road and Alamihi Road, Monday through Friday, April 11 to 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for guardrail work.
