Kudos to Attalia and Eric Alverdes of Pineapple Expressions for coordinating the launch of the Wailua Bay Creators’ Fair Sunday at the Hilton Garden Inn Kaua‘i Wailua Bay.
More than 20 vendors (Eric said they’ve already gotten interest from nearly 30 for the next one coming up on April 24!) and an entertainment tent filled the space beyond the parking lot on the Kuhio Highway side of the resort at the mouth of the Wailua River.
Kaylee Cremer of Simply Kay said this was her very first pop-up, sharing a tent with Maliana Hamada of Nostalgic Scents of Hawai‘i, who also vends at the Mahalo Market on Wednesdays at the Ho‘omana Thrift Store in Wailua.
Maliana said there are Ni‘ihau people coming over to vend their wares, too. Check out all the craft people on the fourth Sunday of each month from 8:30 a.m. (gotta catch the visitors before they leave for their day adventures) until 12:30 p.m.
Stephen Lucas said the 2022 Kaua‘i Society of Artists Spring Show closes Friday at 7 p.m. He said he was pleased that his piece done for the 2022 Schaefer Portrait Challenge presented by the Maui Arts Council got to hang in the show.
Congratulations to Sally French for her self-portrait “The Gilded Fly” for being judged the recipient of the 2022 Jurors’ Choice Award (and prize)!
