Happy birthday, Alexandra McClurg (Mayor Derek S.K. Kawakami got to lead the group in singing, “Happy Birthday” to her and Amelia Kyewich-Kaneholani, too!). Alexandra works at the Target store and also at the Kaua‘i ‘Ohana Resource Kiosk at the Kukui Grove Center! Alexandra even got her name on the big banner (did Anthony Garma get his name on last year’s banner?)

In addition to raising awareness for developmental disabilities (Special Olympics Coach Leona Sa McDermott said practice starts, soon!), Melissia Sugai (she said there’ll be some Kaua‘i Made vendors at the Grove Farm craft fair, too!) was doing her independent walk-in-the-sun. Melissa said Kaua‘i Office of Economic Development Director Nalani Brun (Happy birthday, Nalani!) was having a birthday, too…no wonder Sue Kanoho was cruising the parking lot? And Rainbeau Jo’s was closed…missed all the action.
Stacie Chiba-Miguel (part-time Kona resident) said Aletha Thomas and Monkeypod Jam are coming back to the Pop Up Farmers Market at The Shops at Kukui‘ula starting April 6…we knew that copper pot couldn’t stay idle that long.
OK, time to go check out some of that Pearl City High School boys volleyball action…and when is Coach Clarence Sales doing his youth basketball action? There’re some off-island teams coming for that action, too.
