LIHU‘E — On Tuesday, the Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation announced that ticket sales for the boys volleyball events, including the one scheduled for this Friday at the Bernice Hundley Gym, will go online.
“I got my tickets,” said Joyce Evens, a Waimea High School teacher who handles the school’s live streaming events. “I had to try out the new system to see if it works. The link for ticket sales is on the school’s website on the opening page. You follow the link and it gives you options like the school’s home games, the KIF season. Once you find the game you’re looking for, you buy your tickets.”
The online vendor will be TicketSpricket, the same vendor used by the O‘ahu Interscholastic Association.
Tickets for a particular game will be active a week before the contest is scheduled.
“We understand there will be some learning curve, and even growth pains, so we are initially starting with just one sport — boys volleyball,” said KIF Executive Secretary Erik Burkman. “We anticipate being exclusively online ticketing, or near to it, for all the Fall 2022 sporting events where tickets are needed to enter.”
A quick check through the KIF member school website pages indicates links to online ticket sales at the Waimea High School, and the Kaua‘i High School web pages.
