PUHI — Swim Kaua‘i Aquatics is sending a delegation of 18 swimmers to participate in the Hawaiian Age Group Championships that will unfold on Hawai‘i Island at the Pahoa Community Aquatics Center from today through Sunday, Feb. 27.
PUHI — Swim Kaua‘i Aquatics is sending a delegation of 18 swimmers to participate in the Hawaiian Age Group Championships that will unfold on Hawai‘i Island at the Pahoa Community Aquatics Center from today through Sunday, Feb. 27.
The delegation includes swimmers from ages 7 to 17, and some of the individual swimmers enjoyed an outstanding Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation swim season that ended with the KIF Championships Saturday.
As of press time, spectators are not allowed at the meet.
Race officials have requested an exemption to waive the no-spectators ruling, but are still waiting to hear back.
Those making the trip include Griffin Lin, age 7, and Max Mottley, age 9, 10-year-olds Ryder Lin and Sadie Holt. Shealee Moises, Addie Mottley and Maiha Kjeldsen are 11 years old, Kaolu Kaeo, Evan Strong and Kohlton Sanchez are 12 years old, and TaiMana Kjeldsen is 14 years old.
Jake Rich is 16 years old, and Kamaira Silva, Kai Mottley and Tyler Tanaka are 17 years old.
