LIHU‘E — Ron Wood of the Aloha Kia A’s whacked a two-run home run and the A’s came back to take a 21-13 win over the Hanama‘ulu Hillsiders Saturday during the Kaua‘i Senior Softball league games at the Pat Baniaga Field in Hanapepe.
In other matches, the Bushwackas were two runs better than the Keonimana Gents, 12-10, before dropping 13-9 to Solid Steel in a make-up game of a rained-out contest.
Saturday’s action leaves the defending league and A bracket state champ Rookies as the sole unbeaten team
Contests continue Saturday, and according to a schedule released in January, action is scheduled to take place at the Wailua and ‘Ele‘ele fields. First pitch at both locations goes off at 9 a.m.
