LIHU‘E — Monday, the state Department of Health Kaua‘i District Health Office announced 27 new cases of COVID-19.
This brings the number of active, recorded cases to 96, with five hospitalized.
To date, the county has counted 11,754 cumulative cases.

State DOH case investigators generally contact positive cases within a day or two of receiving the results. In some instances, case investigators will not be able to reach positive cases before the end of isolation periods.
Positive cases should immediately isolate at home and notify close contacts including workplaces and schools.

A free testing site at Kaua‘i War Memorial Conventional Hall in Lihu‘e is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
