WAILUA — Mike Combs, the Kaua‘i High golf team assistant coach, used an XX10 9 to ace the Wailua Golf Course 175-yard third hole on Feb. 12.
The 80-year-old golfer said this is his fourth hole-in-one during his 40 years of playing the game.
The feat was witnessed by Vi Netzer, Doug Hendershot and Mike Smith.
On the day ahead of Combs’ feat, Greg McKeown of Wailua aced the Wailua 14th hole using a 7 iron on the 148-yard hole, his second career hole in one.
