KDHO: 106 new cases, 11 hospitalized

LIHU‘E — Sunday, the state Department of Health Kaua‘i District Health Office announced 106 new cases of COVID-19.

This brings the county’s number of active, recorded cases to 656, with 11 hospitalized.

According to the Hawai‘i Emergency Management Agency, as of Friday there were 373 people hospitalized for COVID-19 statewide.

On Kaua‘i, two intensive-care-unit beds are being used by COVID-19 patients.

To date, the county has recorded 10,222 cumulative cases.

A free testing site at Kaua‘i War Memorial Conventional Hall in Lihu‘e is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
