Allen Huber of Project Vision is looking for volunteer medical professionals to take over for Dr. Mike Shay at The Salvation Army Hanapepe Corps. (Lt. Amy Lewis didn’t have enough gas to wait in those testing lines — it’s not that bad, anymore) when Dr. Shay takes over Grandpa Duty later on.

Kudos, Coach Jason Caldeira on being thoughtful enough to keep all those people waiting for the free COVID home tests off the road, and on the grass while waiting for the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center site to open…
Mahalo Melissa Springer of Megaformer Kaua‘i (yes, they were there!) for making the time (this is a precious commodity now that the Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation unleashed its full calendar of Winter Sports…wrestling starts, Saturday) so we could get a sneak peek into the workout facility at the location near the Keiki Korner play area at the Kukui Grove Center…The Kaua‘i Quilt Show opens Feb. 11 at the Kaua‘i Society of Artists gallery, too!
Melissa said Megaformer Kaua‘i has its grand opening, Feb. 7, but people (yes, she’s even contemplating programs for kupuna when she gets her feet on the ground) can take advantage of the opening specials ($5 for a class!), now!
Don’t forget, register early Friday (oh-oh, it’s today!) for The Shops at Kukui‘ula Celebrates Chinese New Year…the Feb. 4 event is a drive-in event by registration only (Stacie Chiba Miguel said registration for last year’s event was sold out real fast!).
Have a great weekend (it’s not supposed to rain until Sunday afternoon)!
