Why didn’t Marcia Agena bring out that box of goodies from M and E Shells and Seeds (that stands for Ernie Domingo. Now we know how he gets all those fancy things) that she vends at the Menehune Product Fair (it’s in Waimea, of course) with Memory Robinson?

Marcia and Garrett Agena were comparing notes from the weekend’s senior softball with Ernie, Ronnie Matsumura and Peter Rayno Jr. (he was still waiting to hear where we’re playing high school basketball today) at the Kukui Grove Center food court, where Stephen Fujii paused before hitting the Monday Pau Hana Market. What do they use the green sunrise papaya for?
Kudos to Brooklyn (is it Butler? Or Owens? eh, name change in process) of Arizona, who was as cool as the cat on the N95 mask she wore. She knew to talk to Junior Pajela when the sun got the better of an individual, and didn’t panic. Wailua Homestead water hits the spot, Bev Pang! Brooklyn is visiting grandma Flora Worth, who is the market manager at the Pau Hana Market and the pop-up farmers’ market at The Shops at Kukui‘ula. How many more weeks, Brooklyn?
Amy Chun was thrilled to find the Risa Clemmons arrangement of rambutan and tangerine (the cold spell makes the citrus come in nice! A lot of vendors had citrus, and no pineapples at Wirat Farms, although Amy had jars of pickles she made with those watermelon radishes and purple daikon).
Mindy Hibbitt wasn’t at her shave-ice truck fronting the PK’s surf break in Kukui‘ula, and it was a hot holiday to boot. Mindy has her hands in the sunglass company (it’s still here after all these years, she said), the Cell Everything kiosk at KGC, the shave-ice truck in Po‘ipu, and what else? Mindy is looking for that right person who can take Cell Everything to new heights, not close it.
