‘ELE‘ELE — ‘Ele‘ele Elementary School student Carmila Udarbe and her mentors, Basilio “Coach Bunga” Fuertes and Roy Miyashiro, will be distributing vegetable seedlings this Saturday starting at 8 a.m. near the entrance to the Gather Federal Credit Union in the ‘Ele‘ele Shopping Center.
‘ELE‘ELE — ‘Ele‘ele Elementary School student Carmila Udarbe and her mentors, Basilio “Coach Bunga” Fuertes and Roy Miyashiro, will be distributing vegetable seedlings this Saturday starting at 8 a.m. near the entrance to the Gather Federal Credit Union in the ‘Ele‘ele Shopping Center.
Some of the seedlings available will include the University of Hawai‘i green eggplant, the Nitta variety purple long eggplant, University of Hawai‘i tomato plants, the Komohana Grape, and the Healani oval-shaped tomatoes, sweet Gordon Harada dark green peppers, kale, Japanese cucumber, wild local spinach, and the Gordon Harada long Filipino beans.
Proceeds from the distribution are used for supplies to ensure future distributions with any surplus going to Udarbe’s college fund.
