HANAMA‘ULU — A deceased man was found inside of an overturned vehicle in Hanama‘ulu Stream Sunday evening, according to the Kaua‘i Police Department.
HANAMA‘ULU — A deceased man was found inside of an overturned vehicle in Hanama‘ulu Stream Sunday evening, according to the Kaua‘i Police Department.
The small, light-colored Ford SUV was found flipped in the river just before the Hanama‘ulu Beach Park entrance. It was first reported to KPD dispatch around 5:25 p.m. Sunday.
When the vehicle was removed, a deceased male whose identity is pending was discovered inside, officials reported. A KPD spokesperson said the male is estimated to be between 40 and 70 years old.
KPD was on scene for about two hours.
The cause and time of the incident are under investigation by KPD’s Traffic Safety Section. Anyone who may have information regarding this incident is requested to call KPD dispatch at 808-241-1711.
