Mario M. Aladin
Mario M. Aladin, 62, of Kapa‘a, passed away at home on Dec. 27, 2021. He was born in Camp Vicente, Laguna, Philippines, and worked in environmental services with Wilcox Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by parents Mariano and Maria Aladin Sr. and sister Angelita Dimaranan.
He is survived by wife Eden Aladin, children Denmark (Cece) Aladin and Stephanie Aladin, sisters Carmelita Yoro, Aurora Imperial, Leticia (Angel) Asejo, Teresa (Jarrett) Harris and Eva Aladin, brothers Laudencio (Gloria) Aladin, Epifanio (Jennie) Aladin and Mariano (Nita) Aladin Jr., one grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life is Thursday, Jan. 6, at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens &Funeral Home, with visitation from 8 to 10 a.m. with services to follow. Burial will take place at Lihu’e Public Cemetery. Due to COVID-19, face masks and social distancing are required.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens &Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Fredrick ‘Boti’ Bacio
Fredrick “Boti” Bacio passed away on Dec. 22, 2021 at the age of 82, at home in Pakala Camp, Kaua‘i. He was born on Kaua‘i on Aug. 24, 1939, and was a veteran of the National Guard and a machine operator.
He was preceded in death by parents Isodoro and Aquilina Bacio, brothers Pedro “Sonny” Bacio and Rodney “Boy” Bacio, sister Lorraine “Dolly” Corbet and grandson Nick Rin.
He is survived by wife Elizabeth “Momi” Baciom, sons Kaili J. Bacio of Kaua‘i, Fred (Mae) Rin of San Diego, Adam (Sue) Ho‘opai of Wisconsin, Tony Rin of Maui, Michael (Maribel) Rin of O‘ahu and Tito Rin of Maui, daughters Girlie Quinones of Maui, Kehau (Ross) DeCosta of Kaua‘i, Malia Murphy of Kaua‘i, Lilah Andino of Hilo and Pi‘ilani (Erickson) Makekau of Maui, 19 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, brother Kurt (Nellie) Bacio of Pakala, sisters Josephine “Tila” Brede of Anahola, Lyn (Burt) Moriguchi of O‘ahu and Geraldine “Chan” (Bill) Salsbury of Las Vegas, and numerous aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service will be held at Garden Island Mortuary on Saturday, Jan. 15, with visitation from 8 to 9 a.m. followed by service from 9 to 10:15 a.m. Due to COVID-19, masks and social distancing are required. The family suggests casual attire and welcomes flowers.

Gloria Aguinaldo Curammeng
Gloria Aguinaldo Curammeng passed away on Dec. 25, 2021, at the age of 86, in Lihu‘e. She was born on July 7, 1935 in Wailuku, Maui, and was a licensed practical nurse.
She was preceded in death by husband William Lagazo Curammeng Sr., parents Raymondo and Vivian Aguinaldo, brothers Ben and Miguel “Jill” (Tina) Aguinaldo, and brothers-in-law Fred Duldulao and Bill Yamaguchi.
She is survived by sons William L. (Tess) Curammeng Jr. of Kaua‘i, Joseph Curammeng of Kaua‘i, Duane (Janice) Curammeng of Kaua‘i, Glenn (Lelyn) Curammeng of California and Darren (Michelle) Curammeng of Kaua‘i, daughters Joycelyn (Jason) Iwata of Kaua‘i and Janice (Dean) Russell of Kaua‘i, 20 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, brother Franklin (Esther) Aguinaldo of Maui, sisters Linda (Mike) Albete, Pacita Pladera, Mela Duldulao, Lydia Yamaguchi and Estrella (Andy) Agpalo, all of Maui.
A service is Saturday, Jan. 15, at Immaculate Conception Church, with viewing at 9:30 a.m. and Mass at 10 a.m. Due to COVID-19, social distancing and face masks are required.
