LIHU‘E — Sunday, the state Department of Health Kaua‘i District Health Office announced 173 new cases of COVID-19. This case count includes cases that weren’t reported Saturday, Jan. 1, due to the New Year’s Day holiday.
LIHU‘E — Sunday, the state Department of Health Kaua‘i District Health Office announced 173 new cases of COVID-19. This case count includes cases that weren’t reported Saturday, Jan. 1, due to the New Year’s Day holiday.
There are 650 active cases, with five hospitalized. To date, the county has recorded 4,332 cumulative cases.

The Kaua‘i War Memorial Convention Hall testing center’s normal operations return today, with free testing available weekdays from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Free drive-thru testing is available daily at Lihu‘e Pharmacy Group from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Appointments are required. For an appointment, register online at PreventCOVIDHI.com or call 808-635-4968. Testing is also available through primary-care physicians, hospitals and urgent-care clinics. At this point almost two years later why are you still posting COVID numbers? People get the flu and die from it every year. COVID is just another seasonal thing people will get and get better from if they are in normal health. This constant fear mongering has went on long enough! I know several families with COVID and none of them are in the hospital and none have died from it. It’s really sad to see how easy it was to scare our people and to create a false narrative. Most of the people that get COVID do DO NOT end up dying or in the hospital. Most of them are your auntie or unko that live next door. They will be up and running in a week or two.
This experimental vaccine worked out real well didn’t it? The human body is full capable of fighting off COVID without any experimental injections. Meanwhile I’ve heard several stories of people dying within a week or two after taking the experimental vaccine but no one is talking about that or reporting on that. Let news be the real news without any bias or agenda.
I can’t believe there are still people spewing lies and falsehoods that could literally cost life.
This newspaper has an obligation to tell its readers what is happening with Covid on this island. The fact that it’s getting buried deeper in the stories is troubling as well.

First, hearing stories of people dying from vaccination is the very definition of anecdotal evidence. However there have been over 800,000 deaths in this country alone from COViD. This is NOT the seasonal flu. What is wrong with you!? Have a heart. Jeez.
