Ed Lanson got a special-order kadomatsu piece and bolstered his purchases with red-ginger bouquets. Wirat Farms had not only the watermelon radish, they added purple daikon. The inside is as purple as the outside, unlike the watermelon radish that has a tinge of pink showing but is pink on the inside. Now, how do you prepare those tall taro plants?
Laurie Ho and Bill Spitz were thrilled to receive the market’s The Garden Island Best Of Kaua‘i plaque for being voted the best farmers’ market by our readers. But, there’re no walls at the Pau Hana Market to hang it.
