Spam musubi, no less. Anyone can pay it forward and help them with this huge gesture. Just stop by the truck and help out. You can always pick up one of their goodies, too, including slushies (Kelly said the kids love slushies!).
More kudos, this time to the Kaua‘i Island Utility Cooperative for turning on the power to the Kukui Grove Center gift-wrapping station manned by Cheyna Bargayo, Chanel Josiah and Ku‘uipo Tupou of Hawai‘i Community Assets, who already had a large order to wrap almost as quickly as the power got turned on.
It’s no wonder the Kim Chee No. 9 meals (to go, no less) hit the spot.

Harold and Paula Rosa got help from Rudy and Loke Notebo and family and friends, including Safeway Hokulei Manager Lesah Merritt and a lot of the Sons of Kaua‘i motorcycle riders in setting up the lights in front of the Grove Farm Museum that will have its free ‘Ohana Night at Grove Farm museum today. This is all part of the “classic Christmas” flavor the museum folks talk about. Mahalo for the Grove Farm ice box cookies. They are one of Mabel Wilcox’s favorites, and will be available at the gift shop along with other notable Grove Farm items.
OK, gotta get that Lights on Rice parade going again. since Sarah Tochiki and the Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School folks were so successful with their drive-thru parade featuring the school’s chorus, ‘ukulele band and band.
