Mom Maile Kennedy said they were ready, having Mana, Kainoa and Lulana enjoy the newly blessed playground equipment at the Kawaikini New Century Public Charter School and having Mana’s Captain America costume ready in the car so they could enjoy Princess and Superheroes after the sun went down.
Congratulations, Tricia Yamashita, Ari Brun and the Kaua‘i Hospice crew for opening the Lanterns of Light available for viewing each night through Jan. 31.
Hawai‘i Public Radio announced Community Appreciation Day (Lori Almarza of Kaua‘i United Way liked that one!), and Kaua‘i had its share of events celebrating why we need to be grateful for being here.
Lyndon Yoshioka of the county Office of Elections got Sabrina Bodon to not only register, but vote in the prosecuting attorney special election.
Acting Prosecuting Attorney Rebecca Like was a contributor to the Kaua‘i Bar Association gift to the Kaua‘i Independent Food Bank, and even became one of the newest Kapa‘a Lions Club member. She’s even planning on doing the Downtown Lihu‘e Night Market on Kress Street Saturday.
Kudos to Brian Heard and the Spectrum ‘ohana on the holiday food drive (Grace Kaneshiro said they’ve been doing this from when they were still in Puhi as Kaua‘i Cablevision) that benefited the Hawai‘i Foodbank Kaua‘i!
OK, time to go check out that innovative Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School drive-thru light parade tonight at 6 p.m.
