KAPA‘A — The county will begin construction work to install lighting at the skatepark at the Mayor Bryan J. Baptiste Sports Complex in Kapa‘a on Wednesday, Dec. 8, according to the county Department of Parks and Recreation.
Work hours will be Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting.
The skatepark will close intermittently during work hours to accommodate equipment and operation needs and ensure the safety of the public and employees.
Officials anticipate construction to be completed by late February.
Earthworks Pacific was awarded the $119,000 construction contract.
