LIHU‘E — The Kaua‘i Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing person.
Daya Hughes, age 17, of Lawaʿi, was reported missing on Tuesday around 10 a.m. The last time she was seen was Tuesday around 7 a.m. at the Lawaʿi bus stop near 7-Eleven.
Hughes is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs approximately 110 pounds. She is Caucasian and has blue eyes and brown hair.
She was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and dark pants.
Anyone with information about Hughes’s whereabouts on Kaua‘i is urged to call KPD Dispatch at 241-1711.

If you don’t think Kauai is safe you haven’t lived in most places on the mainland. Kauai is a walk in the park compared to most places on the mainland these days.
It would be great if KPD could release the cause of death for the last found/missing woman Joddielyn Taylor. If it was a homicide, I think Kauai’s residents have a right to know, especially Kauai’s Female residents!
