LIHU‘E — Ballots for the county prosecuting attorney special primary election have begun arriving in households and will continue to be delivered over the coming days.
Ballot drop boxes will be deployed today at various locations, including neighborhood centers, Waipouli Town Center and the Office of the County Clerk Elections Division office in the Historic County Building Annex in Lihu‘e, starting today.

Voters who do not receive a ballot by Tuesday should contact the Elections Division at the same number.
The Elections Division encourages voters to sign up for free and secure ballot-locator and notification services at hawaii.ballottrax.net.
The service provides proactive text, email and/or voice alerts to inform voters of where their ballot is in the process. Voters can opt-out at any time. All contact and ballot-tracking information provided for this service will only be used by the Elections Division, and no information will be released or sold for any other purpose.
Official election information will only be disseminated from the Elections Division, the State Office of Elections or via the county public information officers.
The Elections Division cannot guarantee the accuracy of election information obtained through alternate means. As a result, the public is urged to contact the Elections Division directly if they have any questions regarding material viewed on social media or related sources.

This is confusing— I thought we returned the completed ballot by USPS mail. And another thing that was confusing – in the newspaper article and on the ballot there is no information about when is the due date… or when is “election date”.. You guys can do better !!!!
Do you really want the prosecuting attorney to do a good job? If they did, they’d send prisoners off to Texas. Then in many years ahead, keep them there for life and when no family member is around for them. Look what happened to the 1979 murder at Ala moana? Randal Saito. They sent him off to Texas, then I think he’s in the State Mental Hospital now. For Killing Sandra Yamashiro. Unreal. How they prosecute people. So damn wrong. But that’s Hawai’i.
