• Right lane closure of Kuhio Highway (Route 56) in both directions between mile markers 25.1 and 26.5, Kalihiwai River and Anini Vista Drive, on Monday, Nov. 8 through Wednesday, Nov. 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for guardrail and landscaping work.
Anahola
• Lane realignment of Kuhio Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 11.8 and 13, Makanani Street and Kuhio Highway, on Sunday, Nov. 7 through Friday, Nov. 12, 24-hours a day, for shoulder work without lane closure.
Kapa‘a
• The Department of Public Works and Grace Pacific LLC., are announcing that a portion of Mailihuna Road will be closed from Monday, Nov. 8 to Friday, Nov. 12 for sidewalk construction.
A temporary traffic detour route will be available through Kolohala Road and Hau’a’ala Road. Motorists are advised to expect brief and occasional delays.

• Right lane closure of Kuhio Highway (Route 56) in the northbound direction between mile markers 4.2 and 5, Kuhio Highway and Leho Drive, on Wednesday, Nov. 10, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., for utility work.
• Narrowed lanes of Kuhio Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.6, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapaa Bypass, on Sunday, Nov. 7 through Friday, Nov. 12, 24-hours-a-day, for road and shoulder work.
Lihu‘e
• A single lane closure along Kuhio Highway (Route 56) in Kapaa, opposite the Kaua‘i Village Shopping Center, starting Monday, Nov. 8 for work on the Lydgate Park-Kapaa Bike/Pedestrian path. During working hours (8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.) the outer (makai) northbound lane of Kuhio Highway between Kamoa Road and Ala Road will be closed and traffic will be routed to the middle lane.
The work is scheduled to take place through Friday, Nov. 19, weather permitting. No work will occur on the Veteran’s Day holiday, Thursday Nov. 11. For safety purposes, motorists are advised to exercise caution and observe construction signage posted in the area.
Kipu
• Right lane closure of Kaumualii Highway (Route 50) in both directions between mile markers 3.9 and 5.9, Puuana Road and Kahili Road, on Monday, Nov. 8 through Wednesday, Nov. 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for utility work.
Oma‘o
• Oma‘o Road is a narrow residential road that is not intended to be used as a detour route and not designed for high volumes of traffic or truck traffic. The speed limit is 25 mph for the entire length of Oma‘o Road. Through trucks are prohibited on Oma‘o Road for the duration of this project.
