LIHU‘E — There will be a right-lane closure on Kuhio Highway in the southbound (Lihu‘e-bound) direction between North Leho Drive and the Kaua‘i Beach Resort for ditch cleaning Monday through Friday, Nov. 1 to 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., according to the state Department of Transportation.
To mitigate the effects of the closure, hours for the Kuhio Highway southbound contraflow between Kapule Highway and the Kapa‘a bypass road will be extended to 1 p.m.
Signage has been posted to notify motorists of the closure.
Waimea
• The county Department of Public Works said certain roads in Waimea will be closed Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 1 and 2, to allow Maui Kupono Builders to conduct road-resurfacing work, weather-permitting. Work will take place from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. along portions of Hahai Place, Hahai Road, Keahi Place, Keolewa Street and Kalaiolamanu Street. Koloa
• The DPW and Goodfellow Bros. LLC. announced partial lane closures on multiple sections of Koloa Road from Monday to Friday, Nov. 1 to 5, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., for punch-list items and shoulder work. Kapa‘a
• A portion of Mailihuna Road will be closed from Monday to Friday, Nov. 1 to 5, for waterline, drain line and sidewalk construction, according to the DPW and Grace Pacific LLC. • The DPW announced that Imua Landscaping Co. Inc. will be conducting tree-cutting work along Lokelani Road in Kapa‘a weekdays from Monday, Nov. 1 to Wednesday, Nov. 30, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather-permitting. Work is scheduled in the drainage easement. The scope of work includes tree cutting and tree debris removal. The road will remain open, and traffic should not be impacted beyond the occasional stop to allow clearing the road or repositioning equipment. Anahola
• A single-lane closure of Kuhio Highway in both directions between mile markers 15 and 16, Hui Road and Ko‘olau Road, will take place from Monday through Friday, Nov. 1 to 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for landscaping work.
Kilauea
• A right-lane closure of Kuhio Highway in both directions between mile markers 17.5 and 20, Kapuna Road and Ko‘olau Road, will take place Tuesday through Friday, Nov. 2 to 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for guardrail and landscaping work.
• A right-lane closure of Kuhio Highway in both directions between mile markers 25.1 and 26.9, Kalihiwai River and Anini Stream, will take place Monday through Friday, Nov. 1 to 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for guardrail and tree-trimming work.
Wailua
• A right-lane closure of Kuhio Highway in the southbound direction between mile markers 4 and 5.6, around Leho Drive, will take place Monday through Friday, Nov. 1 to 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for ditch-clearing work.
