LIHU‘E — The Second annual Hilloween 5K Trail Run is currently accepting registrations for the event that will be limited to 100 “goblins” to be in compliance with the current COVID-19 rules and guidelines.
LIHU‘E — The Second annual Hilloween 5K Trail Run is currently accepting registrations for the event that will be limited to 100 “goblins” to be in compliance with the current COVID-19 rules and guidelines.
Proceeds help support the Kaua‘i Ballet Academy Foundation and its scholarship program, and registration can be done online at raceentry.com/hilloween-5k-trail-run/race-information. Registration includes an event T-shirt.
Participating “goblins” must show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 48 hours of race day. There is also a virtual option.
The Hilloween 5K Trail Run will unfold at 8 a.m. this Saturday, Oct. 30, at the ‘Oma‘o dirt trail just off Kaumuali‘i Highway when entering ‘Oma‘o from Lihu‘e. Runners are strongly encouraged to be in costume, with prizes being awarded for best costumes in addition to participants with the fastest times.
Hilloween 5K Trail Run is made possible through donations from the Garden Island Motorcycle Club, the Spirit of CAN and Ghost Longboards.
The Kaua‘i Ballet Academy’s mission is to provide classical training, dance education and performing arts to the island of Kaua‘i through a variety of classes and performances, including the 2021 “Nutcracker.” For more information, visit kauaiballetacademy.com.
