LIHU‘E — Wednesday, the Hawai‘i State Department of Health Kaua‘i District Health Office reported eight new cases of COVID-19.
LIHU‘E — Wednesday, the Hawai‘i State Department of Health Kaua‘i District Health Office reported eight new cases of COVID-19.
These cases consist of one visitor and seven residents.
Of the eight new cases, two are children and six are adults.
Three of the cases are related to mainland travel. The remaining five cases are considered community-acquired. Three of the community-acquired infections are close contacts of a previously announced case or are tied to one of our active clusters. The remaining two cases have no known source of infection.
Wednesday’s cases bring the number of active cases to 50, with two hospitalized, and 2,566 cumulative cases to date.
