This project, funded under the Kupa‘a Rise to Work program, is the second mother-daughter project following the mural at the county Department of Finance offices in the Lihu‘e Civic Center Mo‘ikeha Building.
They got to break when Steven Nishimura stopped to chat before getting to his office, and Krystl Apeles even dropped off the key so the mother-daughter artist team could access the building (Milton Ozaki was off).
If the pair had waited, they would’ve been painting alongside the Mo‘olelo Murals artists who are scheduled to be on Kress Street starting from around 1 p.m. today. They finish when the sun goes down.
Meanwhile, Francis Saguid was “very happy” Tuesday following his Oki’s bento meal (he said it’s really big). When he’s sad, he said he looks like a chicken. Francis said he’s the brother of Johnny Saguid of The Plantation House at Kilohana, and they both did work with The Salvation Army, which has Thanksgiving coming up right after Halloween.
OK, time to go check out Tiffany Dick and the Aloha Dance Studio as they open the Kukui Grove Center Countdown to Halloween.
