‘ELE‘ELE — Carmila Udarbe, a student at ‘Ele‘ele School, has another batch of seedlings ready for distribution Saturday from 8 a.m. at the ‘Ele‘ele Shopping Center.
‘ELE‘ELE — Carmila Udarbe, a student at ‘Ele‘ele School, has another batch of seedlings ready for distribution Saturday from 8 a.m. at the ‘Ele‘ele Shopping Center.
Udarbe will be joined by her mentor Basilio “Bunga” Fuertes and Roy Miyashiro when they have the assorted seedlings to distribute until supplies are exhausted.
Available seedlings include the University of Hawai‘i green eggplant, the UH Nitta variety Waimanalo long eggplant, the UH Hirayama kai choy mustard cabbage, heirloom cherry tomatoes and Hawaiian hot chili pepper.
Proceeds from the distribution help Udarbe continue this project with supplies. Any surplus goes toward her college fund.
