PRINCEVILLE — The access gate to Queen’s Bath in Princeville has closed through the winter season in the interest of public safety.
The gate closed on Monday.
“Access to the gate is locked due to hazardous ocean conditions and anticipation of the first winter swell of the year,” Ocean Safety Bureau Chief David Kalani Vierra said in a release. “We urge the public that entry in these hazardous conditions can result in injuries or drownings and puts the lives of our first responders at risk.”

Saying the gate is closed doesn’t mean a thing.
Exactly. No enforcement = they don’t care. For the winter season, enforcement is the key and charging for rescues there when they disobey the rules.
