Congratulations, Kawika Lovell-Kuali‘i, Kaina Lovell-Kuali‘i, Debra Kuali‘i and Kori Ann Kuali‘i, and the crew of Aloha Craft Cafe, on opening their doors and counters at the former Lihu‘e Plantation Building (you can’t miss it, it’s the first thing you see when you enter the building next to David Parry’s office!).

Kawika had the Kaua‘i County Council in whole (Felicia Cowden said Billy DeCosta said they need to all eat together!) enjoying lunch following their productive meeting (and, it’s within walking distance!). Aloha Craft Cafe is open (for now) from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. weekdays.
More kudos to the Living Foods ‘ohana — chef Mark Arriola, Matthew Duncan, Nicole Freeland and Sheri Fields — on being able to open in time for the pop-up farmers’ market at The Shops at Kukui‘ula, where a lot of shoppers have been peeping in at the developing organic store and restaurant. The team was slated to provide lunches for the Keala Foundation (registration for the Ultimate Hawaiian Trail Run ends today!) fundraising golf tournament, too!
Edie Ignacio Neumiller said she’s scheduled to visit Maryann Ornellas on Saturday when MaliaKai Boutique celebrates its fifth anniversary on Rice Street from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a $2 sidewalk sale and specials throughout the store.
OK, time to go check out the Center for Spiritual Living, which is getting ready for its Second Telethon Fun-Raiser Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. that will be streamed live on CSLKauai.org, as well as on its Facebook page.
