The distribution starts at 8 a.m. and continues until supplies are exhausted. Traditionally, this means getting there early for best selections. Seedlings being distributed include green eggplant, the Nitta variety, or purple, eggplant, grape tomatoes, cherry heirloom tomatoes, Japanese cucumber, kombucha pumpkin, spiny okra, sequa, or ridge squash, round squash, long Okinawa bittermelon, medium-sized bittermelon, Filipino long beans, Puamoho University of Hawai‘i string beans, hot Hawaiian chili peppers, sweet Filipino green peppers, Hirayama kai choi, or mustard cabbage, and red and yellow varieties of bulb onions. Additionally, there will be some “hand out” seedlings provided for free, while supplies last.
