Following are this week’s synopses of shows on KBFD TV, which televises Korean dramas with English subtitles:
Weekly Update
“Father I Will Take Care Of You”
Episodes 13 and 14 (Sun.)
Today, 6:40 p.m.: Jihoon packs up to move in with his parents in the basement. Heesook is shocked by his demeanor. Seunghoon has an accident at the construction site.
Today, 7:45 p.m.: Jungae informs Miok that she is getting a divorce. Miok is frustrated with her decision whereas Jungae tells her she’s confident living alone. Hyungseob agrees to the divorce and the three of them have a shouting match. Miok tells them to move out.
“Snow Lotus”
Two-part drama
Monday, 7:45 p.m.: (part 1 of 2); An artist and a video game company president falls in love linked by their dreams of different era. Their love was a destiny, they were meant to be together transcending time. Snow Lotus’ deep roots are connected below the surface regardless of the distance they are apart. Like the Snow Lotus, the couple finds their love after thousand years.
Tuesday, 7:45 p.m. (part 2 of 2): Lee Soo-hyun runs a video game company and has lucid dreams, in which he uses as the story line for his game. Han Yeon-hee, a former art teacher, is hired by his company while pretending to be a man. Through her artwork, they realize that they have the same dreams. They are attracted to each other in the present day, just as they were in the distant past.
“Secrets and Lies”
Episodes 9 and 10 (Wed.); Episodes 11 and 12 (Thur.)
Wednesday, 7:45 p.m.: Chairman Oh put Myung-jun and Hwa-kyung on test over recruiting Han Ju-won. Whereas Yeon-hee goes to the station to see Ju-won. Woo-jung gets upset when Ju-won tells him to forget Hwa-kyung. Yeon-hee is bothered by Myung-jun’s lies.
Thursday, 7:45 p.m.: Ju-won gets upset when Myung-jun tells him not to bother him about him seeing Woo-jung. Chairman Oh asks Myung-jun to oversee the company. Hwa-kyung asks Do-bin for the reporter position. Do-bin is torn between Hwa-kyung and Woo-jung. Yeon-hee’s suspicion over Myung-jun and Ju-won deepens.
“Penthouse III”
Episode 19 (Fri.); Episode 20 (Sat.)
Friday, 7:55 p.m.: Joo Dan-tae died an unforgettable death in the castle that he built. All that’s left is Cheon Seo-jin but she’s about to get off the hook using dementia as her crutch. Eun-byul hits rock bottom trying to support her mother, feeling guilty that she drove her mom to that state. Yoon-cheol wakes up but he doesn’t make full recovery. He bids farewell to one daughter whereas trying to embrace the other.
Saturday, 7:55 p.m.: Yoon-cheol tries to persuade Eun-byul to leave with him but it ends tragically when he encounters Seo-jin instead. Seo-jin’s motherly instinct is put to test when Eun-byul is faced with danger. Seo-jin and Soo-ryeon’s ill-fated relationship pushes Soo-ryeon to another fall.
