LIHU‘E — Due to high demand for COVID-19 testing, the county’s free testing site at the Kaua‘i War Memorial Convention Hall in Lihu‘e is implementing a ticketing system to avoid long wait times.
Beginning at 8 a.m. each weekday, staff will distribute a limited number of tickets with a specific time to return for a test. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The center is open weekdays except county holidays from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at 4191 Hardy Street in Lihu‘e.
Residents seeking testing are encouraged to utilize other testing options.
The county’s mobile testing van offers free testing in a different community each day, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Results are provided the same day. No appointments are needed. The mobile van is at Kekaha Neighborhood Center Wednesdays, Kilauea Neighborhood Center Thursdays, Kalaheo Neighborhood Center Fridays, Hanalei Neighborhood Center Saturdays and Bryan J. Baptiste Sports Complex in Kapa‘a Sundays.
Lihu‘e Pharmacy Group offers free, drive-thru testing seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Appointments are highly recommended, but walk-ins are welcome.

Wilcox Medical Center in Lihu‘e offers drive-up testing center with a physician order. Obtain an order from the primary-care physician. Those withouth primary-care physicians can call the Hawai‘i Pacific Health COVID-19 Virtual Clinic to be evaluated by a care provider who can order a COVID-19 test if deemed appropriate.

Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waimea offers drive-up testing with a physician’s order. Enter the Emergency Department driveway located off Waimea Canyon Drive to access the testing, available weekdays from 10 a.m. to noon.
Clinical Labs of Hawai‘i is offering COVID-19 screenings by appointment only at two locations: Kukui Grove Executive Center in Lihu‘e, 4370 Kukui Grove St., Suite 108 (near movie theater), and Kaua‘i Medical Clinic in the Kapa‘a Shopping Center, 4-831 Kuhio Hwy., Suite 332.
Appointments are available via the CLH website, clinicallabs.com/COVID. When arriving at one of these screening locations, be prepared to provide a physician’s order, photo ID and phone number.
Longs Waipouli offers drive-up testing seven days a week by appointment only. Tests are sent to the mainland and results may be delayed. To make an appointment, visit cvs.com/minuteclinic/covid-19-testing.
The Po‘ipu Mobile MD Clinic provides paid walk-in testing at the clinic, 1941 Po‘ipu Rd., Koloa, and mobile, in-home testing.
