LIHU‘E — Wilcox Health has announced new hours for its COVID-19 vaccine clinic at Wilcox Medical Center.
To help maintain social distancing and a safe environment, walk-in vaccinations will only be available from 2 to 3:30 p.m. The clinic will now be open from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., every Wednesday.
Additionally, Wilcox’s mobile vaccination van, coordinated in partnership with the County of Kaua‘i and the Hawai‘i Health Systems Corporation, will be visiting the following locations this week offering free vaccines for the community.
• Kapa‘a Neighborhood Center, 4491 Kou Street: Thursday, Sept. 2 – Noon-3 p.m. (walk-in only)
• Hanapepe Neighborhood Center, 4451 Puolo Road: Friday, Sept. 3 – Noon-3 p.m. (walk-in only)
• Hanalei Neighborhood Center, 5-5358 Kuhio Hwy: Saturday, Sept. 4 – Noon-3 p.m. (walk-in only)
All clinics are open for vaccinations for individuals ages 12 and older. The Pfizer vaccine (now called Comirnaty; 2 doses for ages 12+), Moderna vaccine (two doses for ages 18+) and Johnson & Johnson vaccine (one dose for ages 18+) will all be offered at no cost.
Third doses of the Pfizer and Moderna mRNA COVID-19 vaccines for immunocompromised individuals will also be available.
Individuals being vaccinated should bring a photo ID and an insurance card, if they have one. Minors ages 12-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who will need to sign a consent form for the minor being vaccinated.
