The All Girls Rodeo Association has been active on Kaua‘i for over two decades.
“We decided all those years ago we were tired of sitting in our truck watching the guys rope. So, we decided to make our own rodeo and it has been very successful over the years,” Charlene Madeiros, rodeo secretary, said.
Participants performed in front of mostly empty stands. The event was not advertised like it is typically to keep guests at a minimum and comply with COVID-19 restrictions.
