Too much talk, not enough action.
Look at the first column on the left side of the front page of The Garden Island newspaper and see how many cases of the COVID-19 are being reported daily.
It’s phenomenal!
Why is this, and why isn’t it going downward like it should? Stupidity, ignorance, or just plain dumb, stupid, or just being simply hard-headed? What, then?
Do tell, and explain what and how the businesspeople would do or survive, or even react, if our Hawai‘i government would once again be putting them and us on lockdowns, or being dropped down to Tiers 1 and 2, all because of people who weren’t listening or taking matters seriously, and who believe they are smarter then those scientists.
With that, and too, the virus going the wrong direction, downwards. Remember what it was like before when the businesses were crying and screaming out loud for help, and yelling “fault?” Really, I think and believe that we should be dropping down to Tiers 1 and 2. Like it or not. And as they say in Hawai‘i, mai tai, as fo teach you lo lo people!!!
Yes, and have them do the following things as well. Like, why don’t they stop or limit the flow of tourists coming to the island? Cancel a lot or most of the flights. If I recall, weren’t the people grumbling that there were too many of them coming to Kaua‘i, and weren’t also following the rules and regulations, walking around and not wearing masks!
And, too, weren’t they also screaming out that the traffic was too much, and the highways and roads were too congested? And, of course, we shouldn’t rule out the needs to limit the amount of people gatherings. It’s just as important. We must not forget, but must go back to the beginning of the first virus epidemic, when what and how it crippled everything.
Again, I repeat, that this would probably get people to realize and teach them that the doctors, scientists, the CDC and everyone telling us to wear masks, wash the hands, and get the vaccinations, are the best things to combat the virus and get us back to normalcy.
This is not a fluke. It’s not a ping-pong game where people are deciding to take or not to take the vaccine. Unless you are those who have studied, worked on, experimented, and have done things to combat the virus, but can and are able to show credentials or some sort of documents that they are legitimate, you must consider doing what would be best for you and for everyone, and not be selfish.
And, surely, for those of you who believe that forcing the vaccine on you all is unconstitutional, but are also infringing into your privacy, you are wrong. Your statements, remarks or whatever negative things you said about the vaccines just to disrupt, avoid taking them are unsubstantiated, unqualified, not merited and, probably, some big, stupid statements. You are without any proof that the vaccines are not good and are unscientifically unproven and unsafe.
And you probably are thinking, who am I to make these statements? And I’ll say to you, no one in particular. I have no medical background or schooling, but I, at least, have the sense to know that the vaccine is good, and is working for me. But you! You, unvaccinated, need to rethink about the vaccine.
No good news is being reported or coming from every major TV station; just the viruses and the many talks why we are not getting rid of the virus, et ceteras. Sickening, isn’t it? How and what will it take for you unvaccinated people to realize that it is the best thing for all to take, so we can get back to what it was before.
Have any suggestions, ideas, what should be done? Get with the program.
