Bethany Coma said the Mo‘olelo Murals (you can’t just be one because it sounds good, you need to grow into one) artists tried the balloons that will form the trio of wahine’s next canvas that will take shape during the Downtown Lihu‘e Night Market (Holly Ka‘iakapu said they haven’t received notice of cancellation so they’re hopeful).

Now, you just have to wait until the second Saturday in September to see the developing piece. Hopefully, Bree Blake’s calendar is free so she can come to this one.
Bethany was anxiously waiting to visit Trysen Kaneshige and Seth Womble at Dark Horse Coffee in Koloa to get a glimpse of their next project.
A. Kimberlin Blackburn (regards, Jimmy Nishida) said there will be a call for entries starting Sept. 1 (art projects don’t happen overnight) for the Hawai‘i Craftsmen Exhibit. Can’t wait to see what Bon Moore comes up with this year.
Ayala Wise (remember her as the author of “Sea Murchint” from the Kaua‘i Society of Artists’ Washed Up Marine Debris Art Show?) is working to create her own Garden of Eden using mandala (nope, the Sea Murchint is in storage) and triangles in that little corner in Kilauea (boy, she knows a lot of the people whose grandma must’ve signed the papers waiting in the mobile testing van line), where she just cut back some bamboo shoots (anyone for takenoko?).
