LIHU‘E — Due to the recent rise in COVID-19 cases and increased evidence of community spread of the virus, Kaua‘i Island Utility Cooperative is postponing the launch of the West Kaua‘i Energy Project “Talk Story Tuesday” community outreach program.
The first event, which was scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Kekaha Neighborhood Center, has been canceled.
KIUC will continue to monitor the prevalence of COVID-19 cases on Kaua‘i with the goal of launching WKEP Talk Story Tuesday in September if it is deemed safe to do so.
As previously announced, once initiated, the meetings will be held the second Tuesday of each month, alternating between Kekaha and Waimea.
